whats the quickest and easiest way to repair your carbon fibre bonnet?
I have a Honda Prelude which I’ve parked outside for around 1 year without driving it around. Now that Im starting to use my Honda Prelude again the carbon fibre bonnet’s first paint/layer or what ever its called has flaked off. Just wondering if there’s a quick and easy way to repair it.

Deep scratches or cuts obviously need to be evaded when possible, but if it does happen the bike should be looked over by a professional. These issues could lead to the breakdown of the carbon.
Just by using a Volta electric bicycle or any of the carbon bicycle components, it will definitely make a great difference to the overall speed and effectiveness of your bike and hopefully give you an edge against your competition. Regardless of something built to be super strong or not, caring for it is essential. Carbon bicycle suppliers will avail you with all the components. Why don’t new cars have fibreglass or carbon fibre body panels, rather than metal panels.
Wouldn’t it be easier to repair a fibreglass body after a bingle?
My understanding is that crumple zones are structural elements not the panels.
Fiberglass body panels are used to save weight. They are repairable but it’s very messy and not all body shops will work with that. Often it can be cheaper to replace the panel than to put the hours into to fix it. Not because they are cheap, but because it’s labor intensive.
The corvette has used fiberglass bodies since the 50′s, only recently moving to a similar but stronger/lighter composite. Though corvettes start at $55,000 these days, amirite?
Carbon fiber sees even more exclusivity from manufacturers . Mclaren being the first to use an all Carbon fiber body. The chassis also made from the same material in an effort to save weight (subframes and suspension made from steel or aluminum.) The Porsche Carrera GT, Koenigsegg, and Buggati have all adopted this structural trend, bringing their prices starting no less than $600,000.
Some cars have aluminum panels to save weight, (think luxury or sporty), so yeah, its a cost thing.
