Is there an alternative to a smartmedia memory card for my Olympus C-4000?
I am looking for more memory than the 16 MB one that I have but all the smartmedia ones I find seem expensive and they don’t go very high as far as memory space. Just wondering if there might be another card I can put in the slot that would work.
Unfortunately, you can only use Smartmedia and the largest card they made was a 128MB. Olympus has a store website where the cards can be purchased but the 128MB cards are 75.99, they also have a repair exchange program you can get a discounted price off a new camera but trading in this one. Olympus FE-20 Review: Great Starter Camera
Olympus FE-20 digital compact camera is a combination of both strength and simplicity. There’s no need to think more about taking that perfect picture on that perfect day you had. The Olympus FE-20 camera is a pocket camera which is most inexpensive. Although it’s a very basic model in terms of features, it is very easy to operate. The Olympus FE-20 features a 3x optical zoom lens and 8 megapixels which allows you to take the far off images clearly. It is only 21.5mm in depth.

The Olympus FE – 20 comes in two colors, which are either silver or black. It also has a large 6.4cm/2.5” LCD that makes framing and reviewing your shots so easy. It also has a help function and a multilingual menu which makes it easy to operate and navigate. how can i recover photos from my olympus xd memory card?
when i open the drive, it says the memory card needs to be formatted. i need a recovery tool or something.
Take no more pics until you’ve recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. Here’s some freeware photo recovery software that should be what you’re looking for:
