Will a lens from the Olympus E-510 or E-420 fit the Olympus E-3?
Yes, all the Olympus Dslr Cameras use the 4/3 standard and the lenses carry from one camera to another. You can also use lenses from other companies’ DSLR’s using the 4/3 format. I had no problems with lenses going from my E-300 to my E-510.

Being that I am a true photography buff, what attracted me to this camera was it’s wonderful combination of compact physical design and abundant features… all without overload of complexity. The built in “auto” modes make so I can simply point and click for true pro level photos without ever thinking about it.But for those times I want to get down and tinker with settings, the Olympus 740 Stylus camera delivers exactly what I want.

Beyond the list of feature, every one geared towards making the Olympus 740 Stylus stand out as the best in its class… this little camera is simply “sexy” in my opinion.When people see it the often want to look at it and check it out, to hold it and try it.
My only complaint would be that the LCD view screen sometimes washes out in very bright light.But a little shading fixes it.All in all a minor inconvenience.
Whether you want a great camera for simply point and click, or you lean towards the professional looking for a casual take along you can whip out for the great shot you don’t want to miss, the Olympus 740 Stylus camera is worth checking out.

are there any third party lenses that fit the Olympus E-510?
well i know the e510 uses zuiko lenses, but i was wandering if it took third pary lenses?
like maybe Tamron or Sigma or something? does anybody know if anybody else makes a lens for the e510?
In addition to the auto focus lenses, you can look at using an adapter to fit other lenses. I have an Opteka 420-800mm lens and T Mount for my E-510. It works fine for what I want. You can also get T mounts to use Olympus OM lenses or lenses from other companies (Nikon, Canon, Pentax, etc.). I don’t Manual Focus, I can focus fast enough for my shots, so it doesn’t bother me.
