What watt amp would be good for my Kicker speakers? (see below)?

I have to of the square Kicker speakers. They each have 1200 watts peak….600 watts continuous. What wattage/ohm combination amp should i get to push them best?

i have 2 12″ pioneer 800 watt max and 400 continuous…and a 1600 watt amp hooked up to them. i would suggest hooking a 1200 watt amp to it, the higher the power the better the performance

How big of an amp will i need?

I’m getting a kicker solo baric l7 12″ dual voice coil 4-ohm sub 1500 watts of continuous power handling and 750 watts of peak power handling…how many watts will my amp need to be?

u can’t underpower a sub. The reason why is cause ur sub won’t be playing hard enough and ur amp will be clipping, damaging ur sub. The sub can be wired to either 2ohm or 8ohm. A good amp would be something like the kicker 750zx. They are made for one another. Just remember that the amp has to be 2ohm stable (and mono for less complication) to get the best out of the amp. 700w to 900w rms should be good for that sub. 400w would not be near enough to push that sub. I have seen a kicker 750zx (the amp made for that sub) with a birth sheet that says it has 900+ watts

Don isn’t completly right on that, since the cvx is 750 rms (aka continuous power) the subs will be able to run a about 750 everyday. That system won’t need an extra battery or an aftermarket alternator, maybe just a capacitor. Also kicker is known for underrating their products. This is kicker not pyle pro or pyramid Don, get it right.
