accidently hit “delete all” on my digital camera and ereased all photos, gone for good?
i was fooling with my digital camera, it’s an olympus fe220, i hit delete all by accident and erased almost a gig of photos, i ahve sense not touched it, can i get these photos back?
I was thinking if i plug it into the computer, can i use a program liek you use for a regular disk drive to “un delete” them?
Now you know why we are always telling people to copy their images to their computers as soon as they get back from shooting.
Buy a new card and use it until you can deal with the card with the lost images.
Go out to SanDisk or Lexar websites and buy their image recovery program, buy a card reader and then start the recovery of your images.
Yes, you do need to format your card every time you save them to your computer, but as you found, not before you save them.

Characteristics of Digital Camera Printers
After you click the image through a digital camera. The next step is to turn these virtual images into real photos. One way is to send the memory card to a digital photo laboratory and get the images developed there. But if you click digital photos on a regular basis, it is better that you purchase yourself digital camera printers, or more commonly known as a digital photo printer.
There are so many options available in the market. The best three companies are Epson, HP and Canon. Therefore, before you go and spend your money, there are some tips on what to remember when deciding on digital camera printers.
First, the digital camera printers are available in two basic types. There are 4-color printers and 6-color printer. Currently, there are even 8-color printer is available. Thus, the higher the number of colors that will be the better image quality when you have to print the file and press the button. Using a good Quality Photo paper and one of the 8 color printers will provide you results that rival your photo lab.
Second, the printing method used by the printer is also very important. There are 2 main methods of printing consists of thermal and inkjet. Inkjet generally used to take a photo print but the quality of the printout is not excellent. You must have at least 6-color printer to get decent print quality.
The ink cartridges are expensive and the biggest disadvantage is that inkjet printing does not provide a waterproof coating to the images. Therefore, the color fades after some time. Thermal printing, on the other hand, is better because it does not only apply a waterproof coating, but also better quality-wise.
It is also more cost-effective because the paper and ink cartridges used are cheaper. Most of these printers can be purchased under $ 500. However, there are several key characteristics that are different in all these printers which determine their price. These are:
- Printing width differs between printers. Usually the width is either 8.5 “or 13″. The highest quality digital camera printers will allow you to go larger but at a much higher per print cost.
- If you want to print and see very large black and white photos, the printer must have gray inks also. So, an 8-color printer will be suitable for this purpose.
- Whether your digital camera printers has separate ink tanks for each color or does not have multiple inks in each cartridge. If you have multiple inks, then you must replace the entire cartridge even though the color is complete.
- The ability of the digital camera printers to print directly from camera or memory card via the link.
- The printing speed per minute. This can go up to 10 minutes for a colored snap, so you should check this out properly depending on the use of us.
Multi use printers are great for a very busy office or household. But if you want to make good prints out of your digital images you should invest in a dedicated digital camera printer, or digital photos. Search for models that will bring the most popular memory cards directly to the printer without having to take a picture to your computer.

I bought an Olympus camera and within a week, I had issues.?
The lens seems to be stuck. But then when reading the book, I realized it said not to use regular batteries…ONLY to use Olympus Nimh batteries. is this true? could that have to do with the lens not wanting to come out and focus on an object? I can review pics I’d already taken, but can’t get it to work anymore. Would like to hear some thoughts, as this is my first digital camera. Does anyone know where I can find a reference for Olympus repair shops? Thanks!
The rechargable Nimh batteries work better in these cameras, make sure they are at least 2300mah or better. Batteries can make the camera act funny if they arent the correct ones. Olympus has two repair centers one in NY and one in CA you can call 1-888-553-4448 and they can email you all the repair info
