Where can I buy a camera flash cheap?
I’d really like the Canon 430EX Speedlite Flash. I purchased a program at academicsuperstore because I’m a college student I got a discount. Is there anywhere like that for camera flashes?
You can buy a Metz flash dedicated to the Canon for a lot less. It will do everything the Canon will do plus you can update it. Every pro who uses Canon I know have a drawer full of flash guns that won’t work with the newer cameras, Canon are renown for built in redundancy. The USB update ability on the latest Metz flash guns gets around this problem.

Canon Digital cameras have recently announced a series of launches for the Indian consumers, these include both Digital Cameras, and Digital SLR Cameras. What would be the best tripod and speedlite for my camera?
I have a Canon Eos Rebel XS and Im looking for a tripod and a speedlite for it. Does anybody have any good suggestions out there with a good price??? They would be much appreciated.
What’s your budget?
For speedlight you should try to at least get a 430 Ex. Anything below that and you lose the ability to move the flash head in different directions. If you’re made of money the 580 Ex is the premium Canon speedlite.
As for tripods, that depends HUGELY on your budget. You can spend anywhere from $20 to hundreds of dollars. Your best bet for tripods is to go into a camera store and try some out yourself. There’s many different styles of heads (the part the camera attaches to), so it’s important you get one you like.
