The Canon Rebel XSi SLR 10.1, 12.2 or 15.1 which one is better for semi-pro photograph?
The first thing I would say is don’t be fooled by the Mega Pixel myth. Even a 6 mp SLR is an excellent camera.
I use and recommend the Rebel XS because of it’s superb photos and build. It’s easy to learn and use if you read the book.

First Digital SLR Camera – Canon Xsi or Nikon D60 ?

For family and everyday use, the Nikon is more appropriate. For sports and movement and excitement, Canon is most likely to preform better. I recommend Nikon in your case.
